DSC 2025 - Call for papers

SCOPE 

Dr. Franjo Tuđman Defense and Security University (SOIS FT), Zagreb, Croatia, cordially invites you to its 2025 Defense and Security Conference (DSC 2025), a multidisciplinary, international conference of research applied to defense and security, which will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, April 4-5, 2025. The event represents an international forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss the most recent trends, research, experiences, and concerns across several perspectives of defense and security. 

We are pleased to invite you to submit your abstracts by November 15, 2024, and manuscripts by February 14, 2025. Manuscripts should be written in English and address theoretical, methodological, or empirical aspects of the proposed defense and security topics. All submissions will be reviewed based on relevance, originality, importance, and clarity. Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their final papers by March 14, 2025.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AND DECISION 

Abstracts should be written in English with a maximum of 300 words. Please use our Abstract Template for this purpose. All templates can be downloaded from the University's website dedicated to the Conference. 

Manuscripts must not have been published before, must not be under review for any other conference or publication, and must be submitted in both Word or Word-compatible and PDF formats according to the submission guidelines and our Manuscript Template. Both abstracts and manuscripts should be sent to conference@sois-ft.hr.  

All manuscripts will be subjected to a blind review process. The Conference Chairs will make the final decision to accept or reject a paper based on the International Editorial Board's evaluation.  

For papers accepted as posters, authors must create and print a poster to be exhibited during the Conference. Posters must follow an A1 or A2 vertical format. The Conference will include work sessions where posters are presented and discussed orally, with a 7-minute limit per poster. 

Authors of accepted papers will have 15 minutes to present their work in a Conference Work Session, followed by a 5-minute discussion period. 

PUBLICATION AND INDEXING 

To ensure that an accepted paper is published, at least one of the authors must be fully registered by March 1, 2025, and the paper must comply with the required layout and size.  

Only one paper per registration will be published.  

An extra fee must be paid for the publication of additional papers, with a maximum of one additional paper per registration.  

One registration permits the participation of only one author in the Conference. 

Accepted and registered papers will be published in special editions of Dr. Franjo Tuđman Defense and Security University scientific journals.
